Objective: To communicate the province interesting spots for adventure and travel.
Brief: The landlocked province has 3,053km land area (1% of the country) making every traveler traverse it's municipalities before you get to the northern part of the country which is the usually the travel destination for beach, surf, and cooler climate. To remove the notion of a “transit province” we created this adventure book and listed all places of interest and its rich historical culture. We divided these into separate categories: Architectural Adventure, Eco-Adventure, Sport Adventure, Gastro Adventure, Religious Adventure. A user centric design. For fast referencing and recall we developed a QR code of the sites from these categories and its easily linked to a google map in your device. Hotels and the Province’s Small Medium Enterprise's (SMEs) Products are listed and where to get them. We squeezed in there a quest board, so while in transit it can serve as a mini-game and track the location you've been to. We faced some challenges, we have 45-60 days in our production calendar to get all data of the sites to feature and updated photo. Ranging from historical sites down to specialty food items in the market across all 17 municipalities. Weather were not on our side, there were 2 super typhoon forecasts. Careful planning and contingencies were made.
Conclusion: The team was able to squeeze all data and presented in playful way, not to overwhelm the user with info - a good layout is the key. Balancing photo, text, white spaces and infusing technology to our advantage. A good project from concept to delivery.
